In 1983 the BBC filmed a television series based upon Arthur Ransomes Coot Club and The Big Six. The series was released in 1984 as an eight-part drama serial under the generic title ‘Swallows and Amazons Forever’. The series was filmed in locations across the Norfolk Broads and included many local boats both in the starring roles and as floating extras. 35 years after the original filming Norfolk Broads Yacht Club is aiming to hold a reunion for some of the boats that featured in the TV series. It is our aim to gather as many of the boats that appeared in the series as we are able at Wroxham Broad on the 5th May 2018. if you know someone who has a boat that appeared in the series please ask them to contact NBYC office on 01603 782808 or manager@nbyc.co.uk
