New Members

Welcome to NBYC!

As Commodore let me be the first to welcome you as a new member of Norfolk Broads Yacht Club – I am delighted that you have chosen to join us this year and are making use of the events and facilities that the club has to offer.

You should have received an information pack that answers many of your questions, but we hope that you will ask at any time you need help or advice. We are quite a large club so we try to ensure that new members have plenty of support getting to know us.

In the pack, there is a map of the Broad ready to put into your boat if you have one, take in a club boat or just to sit on the veranda to help you understand the racing a little better. By now, you should also have received your membership card, use this to access the Club by presenting it at the keypad on the gate posts (both in and out) Your pack will also include a Club Programme, showing you everything we are doing during the season, an electronic version is available here

Please come and say ‘Hello’ to me, Ruth Knight or my Vice-Commodore John Reid and Rear Commodore Beth Campbell as soon as you get the opportunity. Usually, one of us is on duty each weekend in the season and we’re always pleased to be introduced to new members. You may have met our very friendly Office team already, if not pop into the Office to introduce yourself. If you have any questions about the Club please don’t hesitate to get in touch with them.

Our Members Support Group look forward to welcoming you and having you join them for drinks, social events and training sessions. You can contact them by calling Linda Aspland on 01603 951814. Linda is down at the club most weekends.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Best wishes,

Ruth Knight
